How to Get to Scriven / Comment se rendre à Scriven

How to Get to Scriven
Entrance: The venue entrance is on Bishop Street.
Please be aware that there is ongoing construction on St. Catherine Street. However, both Crescent Street and Mackay Street remain open between Sherbrooke Street and René-Lévesque Boulevard, and several parking garages are available on these streets.
We highly recommend parking nearby and walking to the venue.
For pedestrians, we recommend walking from Guy–Concordia Station via De Maisonneuve Boulevard and heading south on Bishop Street to the entrance.
We can’t wait to see you all!
..

3 Days Away!

Are you ready? We are ready!

There is a lot of construction going on around our venue, thanks to the city's determination to improve the downtown core by 2030. As such, be mindful when you travel to the event. Street parking and parking lots are still available, though not along St-Catherine Street West. Taking public transit is always best.

The nicest walk is along DeMaisonneuve between Concordia University's two main buildings (Hall Building and Library Building). Walk down Bishop street to the second entrance close to the corner. This is the main entrance to our venue.

The first 100 attendees will receive a small Welcome Bag with some lovely goodies inside. Check our Instagram for details.

Remember to be on time to the workshops you wish to attend.

This year, we have a magazine with great articles, the schedule and vendor map, and more. Limited supply, also only 100.

Also this year, we have Nueva Era vending and they will be hosting a small cafe within the venue offering sweet treats and coffee.

Keep an eye on our Instagram and our Facebook pages for more news. S

SEE YOU THERE!

Meetup of USk chapters Kingston, Montréal, Ottawa, and Toronto Saturday, August 16th, 2025

Members of the Kingston, Montréal, Ottawa and Toronto Urban Sketchers (USk) chapters will get together in Montréal for an afternoon of sketching on August 16th, 2025.

We will sketch in the area around Locks 1 and 2 of the Lachine Canal National Historic Site in the Old Port of Montréal. The canal was an essential link for shipping between the port of Montréal and the Great Lakes and is still open today for recreational boating. This year is the 200th anniversay of the Lachine Canal.

This historic district offers fabulous subjects to sketch. Within walking distance from our
meeting place you will find vestiges of 17th and 18th century New France, remnants of intense
industrial activity in the 19th century, and contemporary landmarks in the development of the
port area for heritage and tourism.

There are museums, monuments, cafés, parks, shops, cobblestone streets, and lots of people
to sketch!

  • 1:00 – 1:15 pm Welcome at the Marché des Éclusiers, 400 de la Commune St. W.
  • 1:15 – 3:30 pm Sketching time
  • 3:30 – 4:00 pm Meet again at the Maison des Éclusiers for a display of sketches
  • 5:00 – Drink and Draw (location to be confirmed)

Show Theme !!

We love themes. You love themes. Themes unite all vendors with something more than just pens and stationery. Themes mean fun, limited, beautiful curiosities to discover.

This year's theme: Moss and Ivy on a Stone Wall

In honor of the beautiful old buildings of Centre St. Jax, we have adopted this theme for the classical old feel that moss and ivy stone walls inspire. We promise lots of wonderful surprises, so keep your eyes on our Facebook and Instagram
