Scriven Rewritten!

.... Or should I just say... our event has been re-scriven !

Sorry, not sorry.

We are thrilled to let you know that we have booked a new venue, an old style Curling Club in Montreal-West, for our show. The hall is on the THIRD floor. OOF! No elevator, so be forewarned. The second floor is a dark wood styled lounge where we may sit to enjoy tea, eat some food, and talk about the amazing things we have done/attended/bought at the show.

DATE! I bet you want to know the date... Saturday, May 14th, 2022.

We will be the first Pen & Tea show in Canada post-pandemic crisis.

... and the matter of the pandemic... COVID is still with us, and will still be with us come may 2022. Therefore, we will be adjusting the safety protocols necessary for attending (and vending at) such an event. We want everyone to have not just an AMAZING time, but also a safe one.

In the meantime...

... get vaccinated! Wash your hands, wear your mask, keep social distancing.

Stay safe and healthy and know that we look forward to seeing you next Spring!

Pandemic Update

To everyone who love both fountain pens and tea, those who love writing and all the things involved in that process....

We are deeply sorry for the cancellation of Scriven for a second time this year. As soon as the Pandemic eases and more people are vaccinated, we will be able to rehost this event.

Keep your eyes open here. And again, we apologize for the lateness of this news.

Penmanship

Just a suggestion while you are at home in some state of isolation due to COVID... work on your penmanship. Penmanship requires practice... LOTS of practice. Find yourself a blank notebook that you love, pick your favorite fountain pen and ink, and transcribe the text for writing practice.

August COVID-19 Update - Crafting in Pandemic Times

You are all creative people. I see you making beautiful pens and pen supplies. I see you writing with lovely fountain pen penmanship. I see you doing your art. Show us MORE!

Here in the Scriven home, we have been hand binding little Tomoe River signatures and covering them with a stunning cotton fabric (a fountain pen themes cotton fabric). If we can get more of this incredible fabric, we will even make a few masks.

May COVID-19 Update

I hope you are all well and safe and healthy. Please be careful and cautious with the reopening phases that are happening about the country.

Scriven is still happily booked in for May 2021 with a dual theme: Black Walnut and the St- Laurence River.

I hope to see some of you at Toronto's Sciptus. I am keeping a close eye on how they will handle things with the new norm.

We will keep Scriven quite small and spacious for the first one to hold to the distancing that I expect we will still need next spring. So... if you are NOT yet registered, please check in with me to see if I still have space for you.
